Monday, October 25, 2010, is the date that Mississauga
residents go to the polls to elect their Mayor, City Councillors and school
board Trustees. By voting, you are not only exercising your democratic right,
but you are also ensuring your support for those candidates who share your
vision for your community and neighbourhood.
By voting for a candidate you are
helping to set the future direction of the City of Mississauga. The City
provides the services you count on. City Council decides how your property tax
dollars are spent and establishes the level and range of municipal services
available in our communities. Trustees develop and implement recommendations
for educational programs, budgets, facilities and property issues, and policies
and procedures that govern their Board's operation.
